We went in for a drink after going to the theater at around 9:45 pmz Their kitchen was closed but the bar was open. We had the loon juice and the raspberry mojito. The mojito was DELICIOUS and had fresh fruit in there. The bartender was friendly. They climb the ship's ladder to get bottles which is cool! The host had a great playlist going while we were there and we really enjoyed it.

the service was fast and reliable. i was with a group and order the jalapeno popper burger roasted jalapeno cream cheese bacon, chipotle ranch. the burger was perfectly cooked and just spicy enough.

Visitors from Seattle ... Miss Audrey at the front of the house made us feel like very welcome guests and Miss Alma at the bar was absolutely delightful and took excellent care of us. We appreciated the unpretentious atmosphere of The News Room and the genuine hospitality we were shown. The hand-crafted espresso martini made by Miss Alma has set the bar for any other that we've had to date. Yes, they do get busy, because they are that awesome... just don't be a jerk and you won't be treated like one!

What a find!!! Great ambiance and we enjoyed sitting at the bar. The bartender was knowledgeable and gave great advice. We both loved our martinis and the Brie cheese curds with blueberry ketchup were amazing! Keep in mind you must like Brie and need a decent amount of blueberry on it to perfectly balance the flavor. Not the cheapest place we went, but would definitely go back,

The News Room in downtown Minneapolis is a massive restaurant with plenty of character. The indoor space is quirky, filled with kitschy decor that gives it a unique vibe. However, if you're looking for something more laid-back, the expansive patio is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. While the service was friendly, it was unfortunately very slow, which detracted a bit from the overall experience. As for the food, I had the Caesar salad, which was as standard as it comes. It didn't stand out, but that's expected with such a staple dish. Overall, The News Room offers a memorable atmosphere, especially with its spacious patio, though service speed could use improvement.

The food was delicious, and menu quite extensive and rather bold and adventurous. Lots of creative dishes on there as well; sad I wasn't able to try more. I do wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger. I left and still felt hungry. Our waitress was nice and was attentive once we ordered. She stopped by right when we were sat but didn't see her again for at least 15 minutes. I guess giving us time to look at the menu, but maybe too much time. Super cool atmosphere with the entire place being lined with monumental newspaper clippings and articles along with plenty of TVs to see what's going on.
